Would We Care Then? (2018) tells the story of a 19-year old stuck in debt-bondage in a city in the northwest of England. Candidly, he tells us why he’s forced to flip burgers in a local takeaway shop for around £1 per hour, 72 hours a week. Making sure to protect the teenager's identity, the film explores the extent to which race and empathy are connected.

The film will premiere at Sheffield Doc/Fest on June 11, 2018.

It is produced as part of the Rising Directors Scheme.
